With the increasing importance of logistics to the global economy and development of the new generation transportation systems characterized with emerging technologies, integrating transportation and logistics in the supply chain is becoming a critical factor for thriving in an increasingly competitive international trading market. Initiated by the National University of Singapore, University of Tokyo and Tsinghua University, the International Steering Committee of Transportation Logistics Conference (abbreviated as ISC) has been formed in 2004 to organize the Transportation Logistics Conference (T-LOG) series, which aim to promote interaction between practitioners and academics, through presentation of papers, discussions and exchange of knowledge, ideas and experience. Through years of effort, T-LOG has been extended to an extensive network, consisting of 30 member institutes from 12 countries.
